Getting Back Into Fitness? Start Here.

THE SHORT ANSWER

Start smaller than your motivation tells you to. Build a repeatable training rhythm first, then progress it.

WHAT ACTUALLY MATTERS

The first goal is not to prove how fit you used to be. It is to create a week you can recover from and repeat. Begin with manageable strength work, regular walking or conditioning, and enough recovery that you can return for the next session. Once that rhythm feels normal, gradually add training volume or intensity.

WHERE PEOPLE GET STUCK

The most common mistake is trying to make up for lost time in the first week. Excessive soreness and fatigue can turn a motivated restart into another long break. A smaller plan completed consistently is more useful than an aggressive plan you cannot sustain.

WHAT TO DO THIS WEEK

Choose two strength-training days this week and put them on your calendar. Keep the sessions manageable and finish knowing you could have done a little more. Your first win is completing both days, not exhausting yourself.
